Pharmacological action Temovate Cream:
Temovate Cream SCS for outdoor use. Prevents the accumulation of neutrophils boundary, reduces the inflammatory exudation and production of cytokines, inhibits the migration of macrophages, reduces the intensity of infiltration and granulation. It has a local anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antiallergic and antiexudative effects.
Indications Temovate Cream:
Eczema, atopic dermatitis (neurodermatitis common), chronic herpes simple (restricted neurodermatitis), lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus, psoriasis (excluding pustular and extensive plaque psoriasis), skin diseases, etc., are resistant to therapy, less active SCS.
Contra Temovate Cream:
Hypersensitivity, cutaneous manifestations of syphilis, lupus, bacterial, viral, fungal skin diseases (pyoderma, herpes simplex, chicken pox, actinomycosis, blastomycosis, sporotrichosis), skin cancer, nodular prurigo (Hyde), acne vulgaris, acne pink, children’s age ( to 1 year), diaper rash, perioral dermatitis, perianal and genital itching, pregnancy, lactation.
Side effects of Temovate Cream:
Burning, itching, steroid acne, stretch marks, dry skin. With prolonged use: skin atrophy, local hirsutism, pigmentation disorders, weakened skin barrier function, the development of pustular psoriasis. When applied to large surfaces may develop systemic side effects (gastritis, gastric ulceration gastrointestinal mucosa, increased intraocular pressure, symptoms of Cushing).
Dosage and administration Temovate Cream:
Externally. Ointment or cream should apply a very thin layer to affected skin 1-2 times daily until improvement. It is not recommended to continue therapy for more than 5 days. With a very persistent skin lesions, especially in the case of hyperkeratosis, increase anti-inflammatory effect by applying occlusive dressings with plastic wrap for the night. If you change the skin of occlusive dressings should be clean.
Cautions:
The drug is recommended for short term use. If necessary, may conduct short refresher courses. When applied to the eyelids – to take precautions to prevent contact with the eyes (because of the danger of glaucoma). On the face appear more severe atrophic changes than other parts of the body. The treatment of psoriasis requires careful patient monitoring to prevent relapse, development of tolerance, widespread pustular psoriasis, local or general toxic effects (disturbance of barrier function of skin). The heat and humidity caused by occlusive dressings, contribute to the emergence of infections, so before applying a fresh bandage the skin should be clean.
